Review & Swatches - ELF Lipsticks

Hello Lovelies!!!

So today, I am doing review and swtaches for ELF lipsticks from their essential line.
Lipsticks are $1 each. There are 12 shades to choose from. I got 5 of them. When they first came out, i bought only one shade in Classy which is a nice sheer bubble pink shade. I loved it so much that when they introduce new shades, I thought i should try other colors.

According to the company:

"Indulge your lips with long lasting color and shine. The moisture rich formula hydrates, conditions and softens on contact for silky smooth lips. Instantly beautiful, healthy-looking lips designed, formulated and tested by our professional team of makeup artists."

My thoughts:
  • Pricing, very affordable
  • Packaging is OK, not very impressive
  • Nice shades for everyday use, at least the ones i got
  • Few of them broke when i first tried them on :(
  • New ones are more creamy and moisturizing (Classy, first one i got was not that moisturizing)
  • Not really long lasting (or maybe i just eat my  lipsticks :) )
  • I would try them out again maybe in other colors (fearless which is nice Red shade)

On to individual swatches....

Not my shade, Not my favourite :(

Love this shade:)

Nude shade, a bit dark

Coral shade good for fall :)

Sooo pretty :) love this shade too...
I hope you like the review and swatches.

Review & Swatches - ELF Mosturizing Lip Tint SPF 8

Hello Lovelies,
So today I am doing the review and swatches for the ELF Mosturizing Lip Tint SPF 8. The lip tints are from ELF's mineral line and sold for $3 each. I got all the shades they have and for $1.50 each (^_^)....
with flesh

According to the company:

"Nourish, pamper and treat lips with this super emollient, lip quenching color. Shea butter, Jojoba oil, Coconut Oil and Vitamin E impart serious moisture while SPF 8 protects lips from harmful UVA/UVB rays. This just-bitten tint of color provides immediate soothing relief to irritated chapped lips while also diminishing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles around the lip area. Like all our mineral makeup this item is 100% mineral based with No Parabens, No Preservatives and No Chemical Dyes."

My thoughts:

I love the fact that they don't have parabens, preservatives, and chemical dyes. Nice packaging, very affordable. Love that it is SPF 8 which is great year around but especially for summer. I love the color pay-off mainly for the dark shades. I wasn't expecting the color pay-off to be that great but i was amazed (^_^)....I love lip balms and they are perfect because not only they work like lip balm but also gives a great hint of color to the lips. Great for everyday use. I personally love to wear it at work and always carry in my bag to use whenever needed. This would be great for those who don't use lip sticks and/or fan of lip balms. Berry and Cinnaomon shades are the most pigmented whereas for light shades (Guava, natural, and pink), i have to apply several times to get the exact shade.

On to the swatches...

Without flesh, in natural-light

with flesh

great color pay-off, isn't it?
Now on to individual swatches....

Love this shade so muchhhhh (^_^)

Whether I would buy it: Definitely yes!! I love them and would recommend it.

Review & Swatches - ELF Matte Lip Color

Hello Lovelies,
So today I am doing the review and swatches for the ELF matte lipsticks. I know it’s been a while for those who requested it. The lipsticks are sold for $3 each but you can always use coupon code to save few bucks $$...

According to the company:
“This convenient jumbo sized lip pencil creates exact color application with twist up ease so you never have to sharpen. The pigment rich color glides on effortlessly and easily to provide long lasting matte color. The enriched Vitamin A, C & E formula moisturizes and hydrates lips for beautiful healthy looking lips.”
My thoughts:
I love the packaging. Almost like a marker or jumbo pencil for lips. Easy to apply and very precise. Color payoff is great, very opaque. I got them for $1.50 each, definitely a great bargain!!!$_$ I feel that using lip balm underneath would give a flawless application. Natural lipstick was a bit drying for me so I had to apply lip gloss over it. Others were ok!

Left to right: Praline, Natural, Coral and Tea Rose

Now on to individual lip stick swatches...
Warm, Rich Red-Brown Shade

Nice Nude shade to add to your collection :)

Looks a bit drying

So, I applied ELF hypershine lipgloss in Honey over it...Looks Pretty :)

Love this Coral shade :) (the bottom pink cap is very deceiving)

Looks very Similar to Natural lipstick
Tea Rose
Looks more Mauve-y

Here, looks more lilac-pink

Whether I would buy it: Definitely yes!! I love them and would recommend it. ELF added two new shades, so thinking of trying them as well..
